David Hiram Kalili Jr., 77 CAMDEN - David Hiram Kalili Jr., died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in Kent General Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Kalili was born October 7, 1932 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 26 years as MSGT. After his retirement from the service he worked for the State of Delaware as Director of Prison Industries and retired after 20 years of service. He had a love of sports and was associated with various local schools and colleges/universities as a sports official. Mr. Kalili was a member of Delmarva Football Officials Association and had worked 25 years officiating for playoff and State Championship games as a head umpire and referee. For 29 years he worked the chain and clocks at football games and the clock at basketball games. Mr. Kalili was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenny Moore; and two daughters, Kim Young and Joan Kalili. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beatrice "Betty" Kalili of Camden; daughters, Judy Jones of Dover, June Falmog of Hawaii, Jean Holt of Alabama, and Janine Domingo of Hawaii; son, David H. Kalili III of Nevada; a sister, Marie Muller from Hawaii; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
