DOVER - Darlene Hope LeBeau, age 67, of Dover, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. Darlene was born in Allentown, N.J. on December 28, 1946. Darlene enjoyed serving her customers throughout her restaurant career as co-owner of the Iron Gate Inn, Dover until 1985; and also as an assistant manager at Arner's Restaurant in New Castle, until her retirement in 2006. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Brickner Lawyer and Harry Allen Lawyer, Jr.; her brothers, Harry A. Lawyer, III, and Jonathan J. Lawyer; along with a nephew, Jonathan J. Lawyer, Jr. Darlene is survived by her brother, Arthur R. Lawyer, of Tenn.; and sisters, Colleen C. Bell, of N.J. and Christine A. Wagner, of Ind. She was a devoted and loving mother of three children, James A. LeBeau, Jr., Lisa A. Jones, and Richard A. LeBeau; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Bethany, Zachary, Erik, Harley, and James, III; and five great-granddaughters, Jordan, Mia, Khloe, Madison, & Peyton. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family and friends may gather one hour before.
