OLEY, Pa. - Daniel W. Reitmeyer Sr., passed away Sat., Jan. 1, 2011, at Coventry Manor. He was 89. Born in Pottstown, Pa. to the late Frederick Reitmeyer and Minnie Eck. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Reitmeyer and one grandchild. He was a Navy Veteran, and a truck mechanic until his retirement in 1972, and a member of the Pikeville Sportsman Club. He is survived by his wife, Doris M. (Keifrider) Reitmeyer; two sons, Daniel W. Jr. and his wife Patricia and James A. and his wife Linda; a daughter, Marie A. and her husband Harry Neiman Jr; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Thurs., Jan. 6, 2011, at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, Pa 19464. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thurs., at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to: St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 425 North Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901-3907.
