Dana Michele Seaberg passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025 surrounded by her friends. Dana was born at Dover Air Force Base and spent her life establishing deep roots in Dover, Delaware. She graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1986 and anyone who attended there knew and loved the beautiful, popular cheerleader who could win anyone over with just a smile and a kind word.
Dana attended Wesley College and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked at Wesley as an admission’s counselor before being hired by the State of Delaware. She retired in 2023 after 25 years of service as an Employment Service Specialist with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Anyone who dealt with her in any capacity would say she was a professional and positive source of support to all.
Dana had the uncanny ability to recite song lyrics and name the artist in an instant, while breaking into song when the moment served, which was quite often, and her infectious laughter often followed. She was an avid animal lover and mother to many beagles throughout her lifetime, including Kirby, Casey and many others. Her favorite beagle was Snoopy, and she had an abundant collection of Peanuts memorabilia. In recent years she gravitated toward butterflies, dragonflies, cardinals and always the color PURPLE, which brought her such joy.
Her spirit was always strong, but her body did not keep up, and she left this world way too soon. Dana will be missed immensely by not only her family and friends but by all who knew her. Anyone who encountered her thoughtful and generous soul felt an immediate lifelong connection to her. She loved and cared deeply for those around her and was fiercely loyal to those lucky enough to be in her “inner circle”: her “little sis”, (a/k/a Shelly), Sarah, Tammy and her beloved “Peach” (a/k/a Kristin).
Dana was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Robert “Bob” Seaberg, her #1 fan and hero who “loved her to the moon and back”. She is survived by her faithful dog, Daisy; mother, Patricia Seaberg; brother David “Davey” Robert Seaberg; step-mother Anna Seaberg; step-sister Kimberly Pearce and cousin, Michelle Lioy.
As in life she wanted no extra attention brought to her and therefore requested that no funeral service or celebration of life be held in her honor. Her favorite causes involved animals. Contributions in her memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in Dover, Delaware are therefore suggested.
