DAFB 9th Airlift Squadron visits Welch Elementary
DOVER - Col. James Shepard, commander of the 9th Airlift Squadron, and more than 20 pilots and crew members from Dover Air Force Base visited Major George S. Welch Elementary School students in their classrooms on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
The special visit, in honor of Veterans Day, allowed the children of military families to spend time with Air Force members and ask them questions about their official duties and service. This allowed the students to meet new friends with similar responsibilities to their parents.
