MILTON - Cynthia S. Honaker, born June 17, 1946 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday Nov. 12, 2015, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Milton. She was 69 years old and passed comfortably after years of illnesses. She is survived by her husband Bernard Honaker, of a wonderful 53 ½ years of marriage; daughters Terry Lysinger and her husband William, Ellen Fitzgerald; granddaughters Heather Scott, Tiffany Powell, Crystal Lysinger, Tabatha Allen, Jessica Honaker, and Ashley Bryan; grandsons Michael Lysinger, Matthew Lysinger, Mark Lysinger, Shawn Honaker Jr., David Honaker, Edward Symanski, Patrick Fitzgerald, Dominic Fitzgerald, and Will Fitzgerald; and her fur babies Killer and Elvis; great- grandchildren Dominick Hendrix, Kira Lysinger, Cheyenne Lysinger, Damien Haynie, April Lysinger, Matthew Cogle, Kenyan White, Alexis Pope, Colt Honaker, Ethan Honaker, Skylar Honaker, Peyton Fitzgerald, Patrick Fitzgerald Jr.; and numerous sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, family, friends, and many loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Robert Meadwell; sons Shawn and Johnny Ray Honaker; and sister Brenda Campbell. Cynthia was a kind soul, very forgiving, and unconditionally helping everyone and anyone. Her and her husband attended Zoar United Methodist Church for many years together. Cynthia's favorite drinks were Dr. Pepper, coffee, and iced tea. She worked all her life and thrived on good quality time together with everyone. She loved sitting on her porch to watch the birds and squirrels eat the food she'd provide and use the bird bath. She had a beautiful laugh that would brighten any room and loved making people laugh. She enjoyed the cooler weather and was a very welcoming person. Songs she loved included Amazing Grace and Anne Murray's, Could I Have This Dance. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday Nov. 17, 2015 at 1 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 416 Federal St., Milton, DE 19968. A visitation is being held the night before on Monday Nov. 16, 2015 from 6 – 9pm. Interment will be in Milton Oddfellows Cemetery.
