CRISFIELD — The Crisfield Wesleyan Church on Lawsonia Road has an urgent need and asking the public for support. The air-conditioning has failed and the repair is an estimated $4,000.
Community-minded residents, former members of the church who may have moved away, and others are asked to help contribute to this major expense by making a tax-deductible donation payable to Crisfield Wesleyan Church and mailing it in care of the Rev. Bob Daniels, 3067 Lawsonia Road, Crisfield, Md. 21817.
The church is the site for a concert 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 featuring the Allegiance Trio. Doors for this open at 6 and a love offering will be received. This Nashville-based Christian music group includes singer-songwriter and guitarist Jake Sammons, ordained minister, pianist, trumpeter and singer Kasey Kemp and singer and bassist Corey Lackey.
The air-conditioning is being repaired today (Monday) and should be working by the time of the concert. If not, however, it will be held in the church hall.
