CRISFIELD — April is National Kite Month and Janes Island State Park Manager Christina Carlson has two ways you can celebrate.
On Saturday, April 5 there will be a kite making workshop at Somers Cove Marina from 3-5 p.m. Learn how to construct and decorate your own kite with supplies provided free, or bring your own.
There will be volunteers there help you fly your kite and on display science instruments used by NASA with kites.
On Saturday, April 19 there will be a festival of kites at Janes Island State Park from 1-3 p.m.
