DOVER — The Delaware Division of Public Health reported 332 new positive cases of COVID-19 in its daily update Thursday and one newly reported COVID-19-related death.

Delaware’s seven-day rolling average of daily new positive cases fell to 314.1 new cases per day as of Wednesday at 6 p.m., down from 342.9 new cases per day five days prior. The 332 new positives bring the overall total to 97,404.

The state’s seven-day rolling average for percentage of positive tests also fell slightly to 5.4% which is as of Monday at 6 p.m. due to a two-day lag to account for the time delay between the date of the test and the date the DPH receives the test result.

The most recent seven-day rolling average is down 0.3% from March 31. It is still above the World Health Organization’s recommended mark which is 5%.

The one newly reported COVID-19-related death was a 72-year-old from New Castle County who was not a resident of a long-term care facility. It brings the COVID-19-related death toll to 1,568.

COVID-19 hospitalizations increased by three compared to the day prior, up to 145. Of those hospitalized, 17 are considered critical which is a decrease of three compared to the previous day’s data.

Delaware has administered 533,186 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

A total of 192,548 persons have been fully vaccinated in Delaware, including 176,680 who have received two doses of a two-dose vaccine series and 15,868 who received a one-dose series. An additional 163,736 individuals have received their first dose of a two-dose series and are awaiting their second.

There have been 536,600 doses of vaccine shipped directly to Delaware, plus an additional 131,255 doses alloted to the state via the Federal Pharmacy Program.
