Cora L. Harris

GEORGETOWN - Cora L. Harris passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Genesis Milford Center. Cora was born in Georgetown to William Alfred Calloway and Marie Oliphant Calloway on March 7, 1930.
Cora's greatest passion was her grandchildren. She spent many hours reading books, watching movies, and collecting baseball cards with them. She was an avid NASCAR fan, always rooting for Jeff Gordon. In her younger days, Cora enjoyed sunbathing at the beach, and looking for bargains at local auctions and yard sales. She was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for her family. She was also an amazing seamstress, which was her occupation for many years at the Stockley Center.
In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded by her husband of 48 years, Theodore Harris, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hall and husband Alex of Milton; and son, Theodore Harris, Jr., and wife Darcy of Bear; grandchildren, Steve Swain, II and wife Chelsea, Jennifer Sapienza and husband Joey, Juliana Hall, Daniel Hall and wife Mayra, Christina Harris and Jonathan Harris; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Kadence, Caleb, Saylor, Cambree, Annabella and Lucianna.
Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, on Thursday, April 5 at 12:30 p.m. A time of visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
