HARTLY - Constance M. Grace, 66, of Hartly, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Delaware Hospice of Milford. She was born in Harlington, Texas, the daughter of Marjorie Morgan and the late James Wiest. Connie was a long time employee of the State of Delaware working for the Department of Mental Retardation advocating to ensure a happy and full life for the mentally and physically challenged individuals of Delaware. Connie was recognized as employee of the year in 1989. In addition to her father and brothers, Harry Wiest, Jeff, and Wayne Hawkins, she was preceded in death by her son, William B. Farrell in October of 1997. She is survived by her mother, Marjorie; son, Duane and Lori Farrell of Oxford, Conn.; daughter, Crystal S. Friday of Middletown; nine grandchildren, Shannon Crum, Mandi Thornton, Joel and Kaitlin Farrell, Michael Trythall, Adam, Cory, and Steven Friday, and Tony Farrell; and two great-grandchildren, Grant and Everett Thornton. Surviving in addition to her children are eight siblings, Doris Ferrandino, Shirley Stella, Barbara Harrison, Nancy Hurd, Sandy Skillman, Terri Jo Rhoades, James and Richard Wiest. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
