Connie Crockett Hastings, 68 SEAFORD - Connie Crockett Hastings, of Seaford, died Monday, July 14, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was 68. Born in Salisbury, Md., the daughter of the late Eloise Somers and Reverend Ewell E. Crockett Sr., she was a secretary/receptionist for Allen's Hatchery, Inc., Seaford. Mrs. Hastings was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Seaford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ewell E. Crockett, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Richand M. Hastings; a son, Allen J. Hastings and wife Angela of Middletown; a daughter, Kelly H. Degler and husband Jeffrey of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Gene and Daniel Crockett of Seaford; and two grandchildren, Andrew Jeffrey Degler and Elaine Sophia Hastings. A graveside service will be noon Friday in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford. Reverend Constance Hastings will officiate. Friends may call at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & King Streets two hours prior to the service. Instead of flowers, contributions in memory of Connie C. Hastings may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, PO Box 299, Seaford, DE 19973.
