Colonel Glenn M. Watson Sr.

Watson, Sr., 80 MILFORD - Colonel Glenn M. Watson, Sr., retired, of Milford, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Silver Lake Center in Dover. He was 80. He was born on Dec. 10, 1931, in Milford, son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Roberts) Watson. Mr. Watson was employed with the Delaware National Guard, retiring after 28 years from his position in the Adjutant General's Office. Glenn was a dedicated Phillies fan and an avid World War II historian. He loved collecting antiques and following his grandson's stockcar racing events but most importantly he was always devoted to his family and friends. He was a member of the Retired Officer's Association of Delaware. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his brother, William Watson. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Katie T. Watson; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn M., Jr. and Donna Watson of Milford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Mike Pusey of Laurel and Sandra and Kurt Hutson of Milford; four grandchildren, Jordan Watson, Joseph Watson, Jamie Watson and Taylor Hutson; and three step-grandchildren, Thomas Hutson, Katie Burris and her husband Brian, Donald Hutson and their children. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford. Burial was held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers.
