Clyde Morozzi Welsh Jr.

Clyde "Sonny" Morozzi Welsh, Jr., age 92, of Dover passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at Cadia Capitol Nursing Home, Dover.
Mr. Welsh was born August 22, 1932 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania to the late Clyde Welsh, Sr. and Emma Hatfield Welsh.
He was a military veteran serving 20 years in the Air Force during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and a member of the American Legion. After his military career, he worked for General Foods and retired after 20 years of service.
Mr. Welsh enjoyed maintaining a meticulous home, traveling with his wife, and taking his grandchildren to Ocean City, MD. He was a quiet, hardworking blue-collar man and always well dressed. He loved old time country music and western and military classic movies.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60+ years, Filomena Bogdanich Welsh; brothers Donald, Jack, Henry and Bobby Welsh and sister Joan Minchak.
He is survived by his children, Paul Welsh of Magnolia, Michael Welsh and his wife Amy of Felton, and James Welsh and his wife Kathleen of Lincoln; grandchildren, Christina Marie and Andrew Ryan Welsh and great granddaughter, Amelia Grace Welsh.
Funeral Services will be held, 12PM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call from 10-11AM at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/site/Donation
