Clyde L. Shipman, III, born in Williamsport, PA, December 12, 1948, departed this life on October 12, 2022. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin; he will be very much missed. Clyde is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Susanna (Patrick); grandchildren, Daniel and Emma; brother, David (Pam); and many precious family members and friends.
A devoted family man and loyal friend, Clyde's favorite pursuits were hunting at Bear Hollow Hunting Camp in Liberty, PA, enjoying Phillies baseball and Eagles and Penn State football, and spending time with family, friends, and co-workers. A choir boy in his youth, he spent many years singing in his church's worship team. For some years he shared a Spence's Bazaar flea market table with a friend and had a loyal following for his wares. He also enjoyed his years with the Dover Stamp Club. Employed for over 30 years with Delaware State Parks he served on the Delaware Parks Advisory Council after retirement, a duty he truly enjoyed.
A Celebration of Clyde's life will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. with service to follow. Interment will be private.
