MILLINGTON - Clement A. Davidson, Jr. died peacefully at his home on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017.
Mr. Davidson was born in Galena, Md., the son, of the late Clement A. Davidson, Sr. and Anna Gale Davidson.
He was a farmer all of his life, having a dairy herd until the late 60's and growing crops until his retirement, which for many, never really happened, as long as he could help.
Mr. Davidson was a 50 plus year member of Chester Masonic Lodge 115, A.F. & A.M., in Chestertown, Md. He was also, a member of the Gideon's, a former member of the Millington Volunteer Fire Co., and an active member of the Easter Shore Bible Baptist Church, in Galena, Md. During World War II, Mr. Davidson was unable to serve his country, due to an eyesight problem, but found it necessary to help, by serving as an Aircraft Warning Services member, of the Army Air Forces. For many years, Mr. Davidson loved using his C.B. radios, and there was nothing better than his John Deere farm equipment.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Davidson is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Vansant "Sis" Davidson, in 2012; and a brother, Edgar "Jack" Davidson, in 2016.
He is survived by three sons, James A. Davidson and his wife Doretta, Jerry C. Davidson and his wife Judy, and Jay D. Davidson and his wife Linda, all of Millington, Md.; a grandson, whom he raised from childhood, Jeremy A. Davidson; 12 additional grandchildren, Joy Davidson Zimmerman, Jaclyn Davidson, Jayme Davidson Stoltzfus, Jay Clement Davidson, Jared Davidson, James Davidson, Jordan Davidson, Jessica Mauk, Jacob Davidson, Jill Davidson, and Jonathan Davidson; and 13 great-grandchildren, Regan Davidson, Megan Stoltzfus, Danielle Davidson and Caleb Stoltzfus, Nathan Davidson, Levy Stoltzfus, Adeline Stoltzfus, Avery Davidson, Annsley Davidson, Caroline Davidson, Rebecca Davidson, Gracie Mauk, Elsi Mauk. Mr. Davidson, is also survived by a sister, Lucy Palmatory; and a brother, William "Bill" Davidson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church, Gregg Neck, Rd., Galena, Md., where friends and family may call one hour prior (10–11 a.m.).
Interment will follow in the adjoining churchyard cemetery.
