Clayton Ellis 'Pete' Nazelrod, 41

HARTLY - Clayton Ellis "Pete" Nazelrod, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 41. He was born on January 6, 1968 in Oakland, Md. Pete served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He had worked several years in sales, also for Schwan's Home Food Service for five years. For the last four years, he joined his wife's business as an after school teacher at the Kingdom Kids Day Care. Pete was a flag football coach of the Hartly Steelers. He was a devoted loving husband and father and enjoyed playing golf. His passions were his faith and his love for the Lord. He regularly attended Faith Community Church. Pete was preceded in death by a son, William Nazelrod; and his very special Uncle Ellie. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Dixon, Mountain Lake, Md.; his wife, Judy Price Nazelrod; children, Rebekah Legar and son-in-law Christopher of Felton, Joanna Quick and her fiancé Rodney Bishop of Hartly, Jeremiah Quick of Hartly, and Catherine Nelson of Laurel, whom he raised for many years; grandchildren, Nathan Christopher and Natalie Beth Legar; his special "grandchildren in waiting", Madyson and Jaxson Bishop; and brothers, Clifford Nazelrod of Oakland, Md., Gerald Cady of Grantsville, Md., and Martin Cady of Oakland, Md. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Hwy., Camden. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
