Claude R. Hoffman

DOVER - Claude R. Hoffman of Dover passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at home. He was 93. Mr. Hoffman was born April 2, 1922 in Graterford, Pennsylvania to the late Mahlon Hoffman and Jenny W. Hoffman Bivinghouse. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Hoffman was a farmer his entire life. He was a member of the Capitol Grange, served on the Delaware State Grange, and a member of the Roby United Methodist Church, Leipsic. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by first wife, Catherine Hoffman. He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Dover; Susan Hudson and her husband Rick of Dover; brother, Benjamin Hoffman of Perkiomenville, Pa.; niece, Marlene Grow; and nephews, Michael and Jeff Hoffman Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Roby Methodist Church, 245 Main Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Additional parking will be at the Leipsic Fire House. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Roby Methodist Church, 245 Main Street, Dover, DE, 19901. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
