Clarence Johnson III

Clarence 'C.J.' Johnson III, 57 GEORGETOWN - Clarence "C.J." Johnson III, 57, of Georgetown, died on June 16th 2010 at the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was born in Milford, on May 15, 1953, to the late Clarence Jr. and Doris E. Hitchens Johnson. C.J. trained race horses for 35 years; he especially loved working with the yearlings. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening, growing difficult plants and herbs, loved the outdoors, and fishing. He is survived by a daughter, Johanna Luise Maria Johnson; a son, Brandon Johnson; three brothers, Robert C. Johnson, Joseph L. Johnson, and Theodore N. Johnson; two sisters, Irene A. Rust and Barbara A. Allen; and his nieces and nephews. Services will be noon on Wednesday, June 23, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Rev. Carol Svecz will officiate. Interment to follow at the Henlopen Memorial Park, SR 1, Milton. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations in C.J.'s memory to Horse Lovers United, Inc., PO BOX 2744, Salisbury, MD 21802-2744. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com.
