Clarence G. Donophan

Clarence G. Donophan, 71 WYOMING - Clarence G. Donophan, 71, of Wyoming, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010. He was born on Oct. 27, 1938, in Felton, son of the late William and Georgia (Larimore) Donophan. Clarence served his country proudly in the National Guard of Delaware and as a Reserve of the Army of the U.S. He had worked for Marvel Construction as a heavy equipment operator. Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing shuffleboard and always helping others. He was a life member of the Little Creek Fire Co., where he also was a volunteer fireman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy M. Hutson and Joyce D. Moore. He is survived by his wife, Grace Donophan; a son, Gregory A. Donophan of Wyoming; a daughter, Pamela S. Donophan of Felton; siblings, Violet D. Glanden of Dover, Angilee D. Hobbs of Tennessee, James W. Donophan of Dover, Charles A. Donophan of Wyoming, and Joan Loder of Tennessee; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 11 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfunralhome.com.
