Clarence Burris

KENTON - Clarence Burris passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2016, in Bayhealth Medical Center. Clarence was born on Aug, 25, 1930. He married Martha Burris on July 11, 1959. He worked for Chesapeake Utilities for 20 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He also loved selling produce on the side for years. Clarence Burris is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Jenson Lovegrove; his father, Clarence Burris, Sr.; his sister, Margaret Whitearm; brothers, Frank Burris, Eugene Sheers, Oscar Sheers. Clarence is survived by his spouse, Martha Burris; his daughter, Jeanne Ector and fiance, William Thompson; his son, John and Janine Boyles; his brother James Sheers; his grandchildren, Diana and Ricky Janeka, Brian Ector and girlfriend, Laura Hudson, John Boyles, Justin, Nina and Joshua Boyles; his great-grandchildren, Thomas and Rene Fretz, Brittney, Hunter and Saylor Janeka, Julian, Aubrey, and Maddison Boyles, Deacon Jones and Kaylee Fretz; as well as Rocky, his dog. Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only. Pops will be truly missed. We will miss your big smile and conversations, we've all had with you. Thank you for being such a big part of all our lives. Rest easy Pops, we all love you.
