Clara Wilcutts, 89 HARRINGTON - Clara Wilcutts, of Harrington, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, in Country Rest Home of Greenwood. She was 89. She was born in Harrington, to the late George W. and Fannie Callaway Swain. Mrs. Wilcutts retired from the Lake Forest School District, after working in the W.T. Chipman cafeteria for many years. Mrs. Wilcutts enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to cook, and oftentimes would host the family dinners at holidays. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren and will be sorely missed by her family. Mrs. Wilcutts was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Harrington, a lifetime member of the Harrington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Harrington Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Sarge" Wilcutts; and three brothers, Alden, Warren, and Frank Swain. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michele L. and Wayne Dill of Harrington; grandchildren, Michael W., Kevin A., and Melissa L. Dill Esquire; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where a visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church, 63 Commerce Street, Harrington, DE 19952; Harrington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, 20 Clark Street, Harrington, DE 19952; or to the Harrington Senior Center, 102 Fleming Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
