MILFORD - Clara May Jerman Scarborough beloved wife of the late John E. Scarborough (2007), passed away of natural causes on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Matilda Megee Jerman. Mrs. Scarborough was the founder and proprietor of the Scarborough's Beauty Salon, a past member of the Delaware Cosmetologists, and a past member of AARP.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and was a frequent visitor of patients at the Milford Manor, making and distributing crafts and floral arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, John E. Scarborough, II and Carl M. Scarborough III and his wife Brenda; one daughter, Constance Sheffer and her husband Stanley, all of Milford; three grandchildren, Dustin Scarborough, Jennifer Scarborough and Crystal Martin; one brother, Thomas Jerman of Dagsboro; and one sister, Elsie Bounds of Riverside, Calif.
Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be sent to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
