(Marshman), 81 LINCOLN - Clara Mae Ellison (Marshman); born December 19, 1932, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2014 at age 81. She was the beloved daughter of the late Minnie Marshman; dearest mother of David E. Van Clief (Ashley) of Nashville, Tenn.; dear sister of Clayborn Marshman of Lincoln, Arnetta Jackson of New Orleans, La., the late Theresa (Libby) Marshman, William Marshman, and the late Evelyn Marshman of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Van Clief II of Suffolk, Va., Dominique Van Clief of Millsboro, and Daniel Van Clief of Nashville, Tenn.; as well as three great-grandchildren, Dasahni, David III, and Malea. She had a special aunt, Lula Mae Yates of Harlow, N.C.; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews in North Carolina and Brooklyn, N.Y.; a special niece, Jackie Joyner of Bradenton, Fla.; her adopted children, Orlando and Lissette Galloza of Lincoln; a host of caring friends, Mother Carroll; and her main man, Sparky. There will be no visitation. A memorial celebration will take place 1 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 at 274 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Salvation Army DE State Office, 400 N. Orange St., Wilmington, DE 19801. Arrangements by McPherson.
