DOVER - Clara H. Drabbant, 81, of Dover, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Bay Health Medical Center, Dover, after being stricken at home. Born in High Point, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Bryant Aldred. Mrs. Drabbant had moved to Delaware approximately 50 years ago and had resided in Milford prior to moving to Dover in 1970. She had owned and operated Paree Claree Beauty Salon in Dover until illness forced her retirement in 2009. She had been a member of Holy Cross Church and will be remembered as a person dedicated to her business. In her quieter moments she enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Drabbant is survived by her husband John Drabbant, of Dover; three daughters, Carolyn Johnston and husband Ron, of Gladstone, Mo., Marion Woods, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Barbara Mills and husband Paul, of Milford; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and special friend Ruby Kinsey. Friends may call Monday starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso 1175 S. State St. Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 12:30 p.m. in Holy Cross Church S. State St., Dover. Interment will follow in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. Condolences and Guest Book Signings may be made via www.ambruso.com.
