HARRINGTON - Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Christine Marie Pinkerton, Chris, went to be with The Lord on Feb. 5, 2017. Chris passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her husband and two sons, after a long battle with cancer. The daughter of Wallace E. and Mary V. Kenyon, Chris was born in Newport, R.I. She attended Jones Business College in Jacksonville, Fla., where she met her husband, Wayne Pinkerton. Chris settled with her family in Delaware in 1988. Though divorced in 2014, Chris and Wayne were blessed to have reconciled their relationship in 2016, and continued to love each other to her last moment in this life. Chris worked as a paraprofessional in the Milford School District, and retired in 2008 after many years of faithful service. Chris loved games, puzzles, cross-stitch art work, and shopping. Her greatest pride and treasure were her grandchildren. Words cannot describe how much she loved them. Chris is survived by her husband, Wayne; her sons, Brian and Jared and their wives, Kelly and Missy; her beloved grandchildren, William, Bailey, and Willow; her sister, Jo Anne Davis and her brother-in-law, Gary Davis; her brother, Toby Kenyon; her brother-in-law, Robert A. Pinkerton; her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Pearson and her husband, Curtis, Anjy Davis, Tyler Davis, Kim Davies and her husband, Ray, Adrian Kenyon, Toby L. Kenyon, Laura Napolitano; grand-nieces and -nephews, Jessica Pearson-Bleyer, Victoria and Adam Pearson, Alexander Davis, and Taylor Davis; and countless friends. To know Chris was to love her, and to be loved by her. She will be sorely missed and remembered dearly. Chris loved Jesus, and her motto was wise instruction for all: FROG - Fully Rely on God! A private family burial and intimate memorial service were held on Feb. 8, 2017. Arrangements were handled by Fleischauer Funeral Home.
