FELTON - Heaven truly gained an angel. Christine "Peaches" Farrow passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 87 years old.
She was born on July 24, 1929 in Greensboro, Maryland, the daughter of the late Samuel Coverdale Tribbett and Eunity Mae Tribbett. She was one of 14 children. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings; and also by the love of her life, her husband, Charles Layton Farrow.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Pizzadili and her husband, Pete Pizzadili; her granddaughters, Wendy Pizzadili and Angela Pizzadili-Chow and her husband Hoong Chow; a cherished niece, Martha (Ginger) Tribbett; her favorite nephew, Bruce Tribbitt and his wife Vicki and their family; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
She worked at ACE Dress Company for 30 years, but it wasn't until after she left the company that she found her true love, babysitting. Over 30 years ago, she started babysitting her first child and she continued to babysit until 2007. She truly loved each child with all of her heart.
She was known by everyone as "Peaches" but more commonly known as "Mom-Mom Peach" or "Mom-Mom Peaches." She was beyond a doubt the sweetest and most loving person that there was. She was loved by everyone. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say to everyone who saw her. So many people remember her on her front porch smiling and waving to everyone who drove by.
She loved to spend time with her family. Every Sunday, she went to services at Manship Church and enjoyed her favorite nephew, Pastor Bruce Tribbitt's sermons and other church activities. In her spare time, she loved to do her puzzle books and watch her TV game shows.
The viewing will be on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Manship Church, 4912 Burnite Mill Rd., Felton, DE 19943 and followed by the service at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Manship Church, 4912 Burnite Mill Rd, Felton, DE 19943, Attn: Pastor Bruce Tribbitt and/or to Wendy Pizzadili's Relay for Life Team, Wendy's Warriors, P.O. Box 135, Felton, DE 19943. Mom-Mom Peaches had cancer three different times and beat cancer each time. Unfortunately cancer has affected her family tremendously, therefore helping to find a cure for it is extremely important to this family. Donations to either one or both would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton, DE.
