Chris English’s storytelling and passion for the blues has established himself as a fixture in the local music scene. Catch this musical hometown hero tonight, Thursday, at 7 p.m. at Revival in Downtown Salisbury.
English offers a combination of deep traditional blues and solid original material. Delta blues is his forte, singing, playing guitar and harp, stamping out the time on an old wooden crate. He uses vintage guitars from the 1920s and ‘30s to replicate the sound and feel of the blues he has studied and loves.
His lifelong study of blues music earned him a lecturing position at Salisbury University, teaching a course called "Blues and the Roots of Rock and Roll."
Tickets available online at revivalshows.com or call the box-office at 667-281-0101 for assistance. Revival is located on the 3rd floor of the City Center building in Downtown Salisbury.
