Cheryl Lynn Horsey

LAUREL – Cheryl Lynn Horsey departed this life on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.. Born in Seaford, she was the daughter of Irene Mae West Horsey of Laurel and the late Howard L. Horsey, Jr. She was a member of Liberating Power A.M.E. Zion Church, formerly C. H. Foogie A.M.E. Zion Church, in Bridgeville. Ms. Horsey worked at the Stockley Center, Georgetown, in the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services. In addition to her mother, she will be lovingly remembered by two "boys," Nacarlos J. Horsey, Sr. and Senacae Y. Horsey, both of Laurel; three sisters, Irma (Willie) Dasher, Mary Lou West and Betty S. Boyce, all of Laurel; two brothers, Howard L. (Phyllis) West of Seaford and Norman R. Horsey of Laurel; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two uncles; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other in-laws, relatives, and friends. Ms. Horsey will lie in repose on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at United Deliverance Bible Center, W. 7th Street, Laurel. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Dr. R. J. Chandler will be the Officiant and Dr. Wilford Oney will be the Eulogist. Interment will follow at St. Matthews First Baptist Church Cemetery, Laurel. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury. Please visit www.lewisnwatsonfuneralhome.com to offer condolences to the family.
