Cheryl Louise Leitzell

FELTON - Cheryl Louise Leitzell passed away peacefully, Monday, April 13, 2015 at her daughters, home, with her family by her side. Mrs. Leitzell was born June 8, 1947 in Susquehanna, Pa. to the late Harry VanDemark and Irene Ross VanDemark. She had worked for Christiana Care as a Home Health Aid for 9 years. Mrs. Leitzell enjoyed dancing, bicycling and fishing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Lynn and brother, Harry VanDemark, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Stephen Leitzell of Felton; daughters, Kathleen Calvert of Denton, Md. and Veronique and her husband David of Elkton, Md.; sons, John Stewart of Cumberland, Md., Robert Stewart and Mark Bye both of Elkton, Md.; sisters, Patricia Stewart of Garnet Valley, Pa. and Theresa Whitt and her husband Tom of Rising Sun, Md.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a 5th on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
