Cheryl Dianne Metz

DOVER - Cheryl Dianne Metz of Dover, passed away Monday July 28, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. She was 63. Mrs. Metz was born January 30, 1951 in Oak Ridge, Pennsylvania to the late Darl F. Crawford and Ida Beer Crawford. She had owned and operated Timeless Treasures Antiques in Dover. Prior to moving to Dover Mrs. Metz owned and operated Metz Macramé and Miscellaneous in PA. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Dover. Mrs. Metz enjoyed collecting antiques and flower arranging, but especially spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Darl E. (Bud) Crawford. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Floyd W. Metz, Jr. of Dover; son, Gregory W. Metz and his wife Nancy of Greensburg, Pa.; daughter, Bethany Buzard and her husband Pride of Dover; brothers, Sam Crawford and his wife Judy of New Bethlehem, Pa., Richard Crawford of Mayport, Pa.; sister, Jean Shaffer and her husband Sonny of New Bethlehem, Pa.; grandchildren, Cullen, Corbin, Cameron and Conner Buzard, Clay and Olivia Metz. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Distant, Pa.. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
