DOVER, Del. - Charles William Finnegan passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, in his home.
He was born October 12, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Joseph Finnegan and Ruth Doris Kelly.
Mr. Finnegan proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1994, after 26 years. For 19 years of the time, he worked in Flight Safety as well. He enjoyed watching football, a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. Mr. Finnegan had a great sense of humor; he was always joking around, trying to make people laugh.
Mr. Finnegan is survived by loving wife of 33 years, Theresa of Dover, Del.; children, Jessica of Middletown, Pa., Stefni of Goodyear, Ariz., and Sean of Dover, Del.; sisters, Margaret Finnegan, Isabelle Brandy, and Ruth Donacki; six grandchildren, Kaylie, Devon, Ciara, Sara, Matthew, and Zack. He is also survived by his loving fur baby, Lexi.
A visitation will be held Wednesday night, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., June 8, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Interment will be held the following morning, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 10 a.m., at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware.
