Charles Walter Vanderhoof

CAMDEN-WYOMING - Charles (Sonny) Walter Vanderhoof passed away Mon., Nov. 9, 2015. Sonny was born Apr. 1, 1940 in Dover, N.J., to the late Charles and Edith Vanderhoof. He joined the United States Air Force in 1957 till 1960. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Vanderhoof. He is survived by his sons, Richard Vanderhoof, Sr. and his wife Kathe of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Donald Vanderhoof of Wharton, N.J.; sisters, Lorraine Allaband of Dover and Irene Adkins and her husband Bill of Frederica; grandsons, Christopher Vanderhoof of N.C. and Richard Vanderhoof, Jr. of Ohio; step-grandchildren, Daryll Stell of Pa. and Ryan Stell of N.J.; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1PM, Sun., Nov. 15, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 11~1. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904.
