Charles Russell Melvin Jr., 51 DENTON, Md. - Charles Russell Melvin, Jr. of Denton, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, in Memorial Hospital at Easton, Md. He was 51. Born in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, on April 9, 1959, Mr. Melvin was the son of the late Charles R. and Gloria Modesitt Melvin. He graduated from Lake Forest High School, class of 1977 and from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1979. He was a millwright. Mr. Melvin is survived by one son, Charles R. Jester and his companion Candy Moss; two grandchildren, Daeman and Collin; two sisters, Charlene K. Howard and her husband Larry and Dolly G. Torres and her husband Ricky; one brother, Roger R. Melvin, Sr. and his wife Cathy; several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly; and his beloved pet, Grizzy. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second Street, Denton, where friends may call an hour before the service. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second Street, Denton, MD 21629, to help with funeral expenses.
