Charles Irving Pernol Sr., 57 GREENSBORO, Md. - Charles Irving Pernol Sr., of Greensboro, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, Caroline Home for Hospice, Denton. He was 57. He was born on April 22, 1951, in Dover, Del., to the late George K. and Jeannette Godwin Pernol. A lifetime resident of the area, Mr. Pernol was a 1969 graduate of North Caroline High School. Since 1972, he worked for West and Callahan of Easton. He was a member of Harrington Moose 534. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother George Pernol in 2007. In addition to his wife of 36 years, Martha Louise Ratliff Pernol, he is survived by two sons and their spouses, James A. and Donna Ratliff, and Charles I. and Holly Pernol Jr., all of Greensboro; a brother, Paul Pernol of Hartly; a sister, Paula Ewell of Smyrna; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. A lifetime resident of the area, Mr. Pernol was a 1969 graduate of North Caroline High School. Since 1972, he worked for West and Callahan of Easton. He was a member of Harrington Moose 534. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior to services and from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro. Contributions may be made to Caroline Hospice Foundation, P.O.
