Charles E. 'Jack' Jackson SUDLERSVILLE, MD - Charles E. 'Jack' Jackson, 79, died April 9, 2010 in Chester River Manor, Chestertown, MD. Jack was born on July 27, 1930, son of the late Charles H. and Martha Kimble Jackson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was stationed in Alaska. After his discharge he worked as a carpenter for Julian Lynch, Bell & Bold and later owned and operated his own business, Jackson Construction. He had lived in Galena until moving to Sudlersville in 1984. Jack enjoyed hunting and crabbing. He was a member of the Frank M. Jarman American Legion Post and the Cecil County Coon Hunters Club, and past member of Millington Moose Lodge. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years Juanita 'Madge' Kelly Jackson in 1991, and 2 step-daughters; Jo Ann Massey and Juanita Matthews. He is survived by 2 sons; Dane Jackson and his wife Gail, of Barclay and Bryan Jackson and his wife Kate, of Sudlersville; a step-son Richard Massey and his wife Joan of Idaho; a sister Jean Jackson of Sudlersville; four grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Teri and Michael Jackson; three step-grandchildren, R.B. Massey, Dixie and Steve Watts; seven step great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Hunter, Joshua, Zachary and Tyler Watts and Sarah and Amanda Massey; and loving companion of 19 years Katherine Ervin of Sudlersville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Galena Cemetery. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
