CLAYTON - Charles A. Hotz Jr., of Clayton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Kent General Hospital in Dover. He was 98. Mr. Hotz was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Brooklyn N.Y., the son of the late Charles A. Hotz, Sr. and Johanna Paul Hotz. He was a retired Truck Driver who enjoyed life and spending time with friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances C. Hotz in 2009; a son, Charles "Bucky" Hotz; a granddaughter, Lynn Hotz; a brother, John A. Hotz; and a sister, Elsie Carisle. He is survived by a son, John E. Hotz and his wife Peggy of Lee Summit, Mo.; a daughter, Joan F. Taylor and her husband Lawrence of Pennsauken, N.J.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be noon, Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, in Peace Lutheran Church, 5048 Wheatley's Pond Road, Smyrna. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 5048 Wheatley's Pond Rd., Smyrna, DE 19938.
