MILFORD - Cecil L. Emory passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Delaware Hospice in Milford. Cecil was born on March 26, 1926 in Milford, son of the late Lawrence Winfield Emory and Virginia Matilda Dickerson Emory. Mr. Emory was employed as a technical assistant in the Research & Development Department of DuPonts in Seaford. He retired in 1985 after 36 years with the company In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Emory in 2006, and his daughter, Dr. Joyce Perry in 2010. Cecil is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie Emory; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Cindy Emory of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Susan Emory of Milford; a son-in-law, Greg Perry of Pa.; a brother, Doug Emory; a sister, Helen Fosky, both of Milford; and five grandchildren, Zachary Emory, Hilary Emory, Rhett Perry, Trey Perry, and John Butler. Services and burial will be held privately. Donations in Cecil's memory may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
