Are you quick on your feet and a lover of a brain-teasing challenge? Then the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce’s Amazing Chase is the dream event for you.

This fast-paced team challenge is coming to the downtown Dover community, to the thrill of participating teams and spectators alike, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, beginning at 5 p.m. CDCC members and guests cannot wait to see teams of three all decked out in crazy costumes, racing through the streets and competing to be the first team to correctly solve all the puzzles and challenges and hopefully win the grand prize.

This extraordinary event promises all participants an evening of networking, friendly competition and fun as they race through the historic streets of downtown. The CDCC members who are Amazing Chase merchant participants will be delighted to experience this fun-filled opportunity to showcase their business, increase foot traffic and make a lasting impression on all the team members participating. The CDCC loves this event because it helps highlight all that downtown Dover has to offer — merchants, restaurants, historic locations and more.

Teams of three will want to come prepared in their themed costumes and comfortable running shoes. Teams need to be quick on their feet and their minds to connect the dots of each clue to ultimately be the first team to successfully complete the mapped-out course. Once the teams have completed all the puzzles and challenges on their assigned routes, they will race back to the finish line to log their time. If teams are extra smart and proactive, they will use these next few weeks to study the streets and businesses in downtown Dover in preparation for the chase.

Even if you are not competing with a team, everyone is welcome to come and be part of the fun. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on the teams, watch as they race & chase, and join them for the announcement of the winning team at Grey Fox Grille, 140 S. State St., for food and drinks. We promise there will be plenty of action to see, and plenty of people to greet. If anyone you know is competing in this event, the CDCC is sure they would love to hear your cheers and see your support.

The CDCC is grateful to their primary sponsors from M&T Bank and the City of Dover for their help and generosity in making this event a success and supporting the downtown Dover community. This event would not be possible without their help, along with the participation of the merchants, the chase teams, CDCC members and the community of supporters.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 5–8 pm, for an evening competition you don’t want to miss. The CDCC looks forward to joining you, the community, for its Amazing Chase: Downtown Dover Edition 2025!
