The week has finally come — the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is over the moon to present its annual Home & Garden Expo coming this weekend, Feb. 28 and 29, at the NASCAR Cup Series Garage at Dover Motor Speedway. The CDCC staff is so excited to welcome the community to this free Home & Garden Expo from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
After a long winter, the CDCC knows the people in our community are ready to get out of their homes, interact with others, support local businesses, and get the help and inspiration they need to make their home and garden projects a reality. Look no further — this is why the CDCC organizes this event for the community.
Delawareans from all industries enjoy doing business with people they know. This is why face-to-face interaction is impactful to creating relationships, especially for the backbone of our community — our local businesses of Central Delaware. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet directly with knowledgeable experts covering everything from roofing and siding, stonework, to painters, cookware, contractors, and pest control.
In addition to seeking home and garden advice from more than 30 vendors, attendees will want to plan their day around the free educational seminars occurring during the expo. On Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Kent County Master Gardener Tobi Hope-O’Brien will present “Growing Flowers and Vegetables from Seed.” The workshop will include examples of planting containers, a recipe for a planting medium, and examples of various commercial seed planning options. A resource for free seeds and a seed planting demonstration will be included.
On Friday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m.-noon, Bright Side Roofing will present a live demonstration of GAF Timberline Solar — the future of roofing and renewable energy combined. You’ll get a hands-on look at the world’s first nailable solar shingle and learn how it seamlessly integrates into a high-performance roof and an affordable, efficient and sleek solar solution.
The CDCC is very proud to provide an event that allows our amazing businesses to showcase their hard work and services to their community. They need you to stop by and check out what they have to offer so you can see firsthand how they can help you get to the home and garden of your dreams.
While you’re at Dover Motor Speedway for the expo, don’t miss some great photo opportunities including the “Miles the Monster” statue that you’ll pass as you come in, the Winner’s Circle and the Dover Motor Speedway Ford Mustang Mach-1 Pace Car. Then, see if you can find the spot where they buried the 50th Anniversary Time Capsule.
Thank you to our event sponsors: Bright Side, Coastal Bath Company, Daily State News, Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities and G. Fedale Roofing for making this event possible. Also, thanks to Dover Motor Speedway for hosting this event at the NASCAR Cup Series Garage. It’s a very cool venue that we know you will love.
Attend the CDCC’s 2025 Home & Garden Expo this Friday and Saturday to update yourself on the latest products trends and services from within the industry. Make this fun stop part of your weekend plans with family, friends or coworkers. Keep an eye on opportunities for door prizes, freebies, drawings and more. And don’t forget to take your picture with Miles! The CDCC can’t wait to see you this weekend at the free 2025 Home & Garden Expo.
