Catherine J. Hudson-Sipple

MILLSBORO - Catherine J. Hudson-Sipple passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, in her home. She was 84. She was preceded by her husband of 48 years, Earl G. Hudson in 1992; and her husband, H. Smitty Sipple in 2004. She has survived by her son, Glen Hudson of Wilmington; daughter, Sharon Hudson-Krall and son-in-law, Arthur Krall of Millsboro; brother, Albin Johnson (Shirley) of Laurel; sister-in-law, Joanne Simacek (Paul) of Hockessin; grandchildren, Adam Savage of Breckenridge, Colo., Kendra and Anthony Lafazia of Middletown, and Gemma Hudson of Wilmington; and six great-grandchildren. Catherine, "Kitty," was employed by Diamond State Telephone Co. in Wilmington and Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington. Catherine and her husband Earl owned there own business call Hudson House Antiques for 27 years in Sussex County and actively did antique shows through out the U.S.A. She was active member and leader in the Jaycees in Wilmington. She also helped with Miss Delaware Pagents for many years. She was active in the Lions Club and Millsboro Senior Center. Catherine was a painter, potterer, seamtress, and a Master Gardener with a certificate from University of Delaware in horticultural and Woodland Classes, volunteering within her Community. Catherine did line dancing up until she was 77 years old. She also did Zumba, and was very active with being healthy. Catherine attended St. Georges Chapel and St. Marks Episcopal Church in Millsboro. Memorial Services will be private and decided by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Delaware Hospice, Milford.
