Catherine E. Hudson, 58

SMYRNA - Catherine E. Hudson, of Smyrna, passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at Pinnacle Rehabilitation Center, Smyrna. She was 58. Catherine was born on May 2, 1951, in New York City, N.Y. Before her illness, she had worked as a hairdresser and enjoyed shopping and decorating. Catherine sang for the church choir and was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. She was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa McNamara. She is survived by her father, Cornelius M. McNamara of Charlotte Hall, Md.; two children, Timothy Hudson of Lewes and Diana Hudson of Felton; a brother, Cornelius J. McNamara and his wife Margaret of Hillsdale, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret Lundquist of Paramus, N.J., and Rita Jacobsen and her husband Torrey of Gambrills, Md.; and an extended family of nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
