Catharine Philena McKee

Ocean View - Catharine Philena McKee, "Kitty," passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Born in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Philena Baxter McKee. She is survived by her sister, Elyn Schmitz of Wilmington; and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by longtime friend, Jean Brittingham.
Kitty was a graduate of American University. She taught math at John M. Clayton High School in the Indian River School District. She belonged to a sewing guild and loved photography.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Bowen Cemetery in Newark, Md. Rev. Dr. K.C. Lee will officiate. A donation in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Rd. Suite D Timonium, MD, 21093. Letters of condolence may be sent via: www.burbagefuneralhome.com . Arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
