Drummond Sims Dover - Carrye Mae Drummond Sims peacefully departed for her Heavenly home on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover surrounded by family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin B. Sims. She is survived by her children, Charyn Scrivens (Darryl) of Waldorf, Md., Martha Wilson (W. Earl), Dennis Sims (Sharon) of Enterprise, Ala.; and two grandsons. A public viewing will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014. The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority memorial service will be held at 7:20 pm. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13. 2014 with viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. All services will be held at Whatcoat United Methodist Church located at 341 Saulsbury Road in Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions--in memory of Carrye M. Sims--to Delaware State University for the general scholarship fund. Contributions may be directed to the DSU Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, Administration Bldg. 2nd Fl., 1200 N.
