SEMINOLE, Fla. - Hinson, III, Carroll Elmo 71, of Seminole, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at home. Born in Washington, D.C., he came here in 1993 from Delaware. He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, having served in Vietnam, the Gulf War and various duty stations around the world. Carroll was a very devoted husband, father and Pop-pop. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice J. Hinson, Seminole; daughters, Sherrie J. (Tony) Barner, St. Petersburg, Fla., Tammy J. (Bill) Falasco, Harrington, Del.; a son, Carroll E. Hinson, IV, Felton, Del.; four grandchildren, Wendy, Jennifer, Jesse, and Billy; and four great-grandchildren, Allison, Alex, Mikayla and Ayden. There will be a viewing from 4 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes, 7820-38th Avenue North. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Florida Division, 3709 W. Jetton Avenue, Tampa, FL 33629; or Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
