She retired as a clerk in the Wilmington Court System and later drove a school bus for 22 years for the Smyrna School District. Mrs. Sylvester was a member of the Blackbird Community Center and her hobbies included traveling, doing word searches, playing bingo and having long phone conservations with her friends and family, especially phone calls to her daughters at work. She was also an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed her swimming pool. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and William Duncan. She is survived by her husband, Lee F.
