DOVER - Carolyn A. Hersh, 63, of Dover, went home to her savior Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at her home with family by her side. She was born on Jan. 3, 1947, in Wilmington, to Anton and Alice Wright Benson. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, retired Navy veteran Russell L. Hersh; daughters, Kimberly Hersh Lanphear, and Stephanie Hersh, all of Dover; foster daughter, Maureen "Kitty" Maltia, and many other foster children; father, Anton Benson; sister, Jean Benson Simpson; two grandchildren, and two nephews. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Dover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
