Caroline Grace Jordan

'Thoms' Jordan, 88 CAMDEN - Caroline Grace 'Thoms' Jordan passed away April. 22, 2013 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Mrs. Jordan was born July 17, 1924 in Fort Lee, N.J. to the late Henry Adolf Thoms and Ethel Schroeder Thoms. She was one of 12 children. She had served in the United States Air Force for two years in the 1940's. After her time in the service she worked for the Caesar Rodney School District in food service. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Dover, the Eastern Star in Milford, and the O.S.I.R.U.S court of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Griffith Jordan in 1999; and ten of her siblings. She is survived by her sons, Griffith Jordan II and his wife Jeanne of Berlin, N.J. and Michael Jordan and his wife Terry of Green Sea, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Evers of Gainesville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Griffith Jordan III, Lindsey Jordan, Ryan Jordan, and Alex Jordan. Memorial services will be held in July 2013. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Del. Letters of condolence may be sent and guest book signed at http://www.torbertfuneral.com In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer's/Dementia Foundation.
