Carol Shockley

DOVER - Carol Shockley of Dover, passed away suddenly at Kent General Hospital.
Carol was born Feb. 6, 1961 in Dover to the late Thomas Hutchins and Cora Boyles Hutchins.
She worked for Caesar Rodney School district in the Cafeterias for 25 years. Carol was a collector of everything including butterflies and angels, she loved to dance and tacos. Once you were a friend you were a friend for life. The simplest things made her happy. Carol made the best chicken and dumplings around.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Donald and Thomas; and sister, Cora Marie.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Shockley, Jr. of Dover; son, James Shockley, III "Ben" (Danielle) of San Ramon, Calif.; sister, Debra Fendt of Dover; many nieces and nephews and her grand puppy, Gimmick.
Memorial services will be held, 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
