Carol L. Meredith, 63 ASHLEY, Pa. - Carol L. Meredith, 63, of Ashley, Pa., passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Hospice Community Care, Inpatient Unit, Geisinger, South Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Born in Wilkes-Barre on Oct. 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Norman Chimko. She was preceded in death by sisters, Peggy Tymitz, and Barbara Schwartz; brother-in-law, Tom Schwartz; and nephew, Gary Schwartz. Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline W. Johnson and her husband Robert of Dover, Del.; son, John Meredith of Wilmington, Del.; two grandchildren, Jarrett, and Kelcey Johnson of Dover; sister, Shirley Pergeorelis and her husband Michael of Ashley; and several nieces and nephews. A private interment was held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, with Rev. Rebecca Tanner officiating. Arrangements are by the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N.
